Deze kerk is één van de oudste kerken in de omgeving. De kerk is vermoedelijk rond 1291 gebouwd. De eerste rector wordt vermeldt in 1316. Helaas vervalt de kerk daarna snel in een ruïne en in 1553 verklaart de bisschop de kerk tot ruïne. Al snel daarna wordt begonnen met de restauratie.
Het altaar stamt uit de Normandische tijd en is vermoedelijk in 1066 geplaatst in het gebouwtje dat toen als kerk diende.
This church is one of the oldest churches in the area. The church was probably built around 1291. The first rector is mentioned in 1316. Unfortunately, the church soon decays into a ruin and in 1553 the bishop declares the church to be a ruin. Restoration started soon afterwards.
The altar dates from the Norman period and was probably placed in 1066 in the little building that then served as a church.
